The Chinese chariot, around 1740 Folded fan, sheet of paper, lined with skin, and painted with gouache of young people dancing to the sound of a violin. Ivory frame* with an original decoration engraved in frieze: a deer pulls a Chinese inspired chariot in a garden animated with pagodas. The birds represented in the sky are pierced to allow light to pass through. With the fan closed, the frame presents a zig-zag.H.t. decoration. 26 cm -H.f. 12.5 cm (restorations)
