The assassination of the Duke of Guise, around 1900Grand fan, the black cloth sheet painted of King Henry III spanning a man on the ground to assassinate the Duke of Guise who fell to his knees. The castle of Blois, the site of this famous historical event, which took place on 23 December 1588, appears in the background. Signed "Félix" on the left, the leaf is bordered on the upper part by a black lace, a silent lapel and a black mother-of-pearl frame called Tahiti. The bevelled plumes.
