QUAGLIA Ferdinando (1780-1853). Portrait of Élisabeth Daniels (1790-1868), wife of General Maximilien Foy (1822-1877). Beautiful oval miniature on ivory, painted in 1807, preserved under glass in its original finely chased and gilded bronze frame decorated with a frieze of stars and floral motifs, with suspension ring, bears on the back the handwritten inscription: "Tableau miniature de ma tante Foy, la générale, née Daniels, given by her to my mother Madame Mélanie Élisabeth Dauthemont ... Foy... given to my dear Marie Dauthemont ...to stay in the family... Versailles, July 18, 1870". Good condition. Sight: H.: 6 cm - W.: 5 cm. Frame: H.: 11 cm - W.: 10 cm.
