Photographic portrait signed Downey in London, depicting the sovereign posing in the company of her daughter, Princess Victoria of Great Britain (1867-1931), with their autographed signatures at the bottom of the document: "Victoria" and "Alexandra", preserved in its original blackened wood frame. On the back is a label with the handwritten inscription: "Given Mrs Tylden by Queen Alexandra and Princesse Victoria, June 1921". Enclosed is a handwritten note from Princess Victoria: "With the new Year's blessings". Damage to frame, foxing, but overall good condition. Sight: H.: 23.5 cm - W.: 17 cm. Frame: H.: 29 cm - W.: 22.5 cm. Provenance: gift from Queen Alexandra of Great Britain to Eleanor Tylden, Violet Henson's grandmother.
