The farewell of Hector and Andromache, circa 1800 Folded fan with engraved silk leaf, enhanced in color, of Hector's farewell as he leaves for the ill-fated battle with Achilles during the Trojan War. The clothes, like the chariot, are enhanced with gold sequins. Skin reverse. Horn mount imitating blond tortoiseshell, pierced and engraved with flowers. H.t. 24 cm-H.f. 16 cm (wear, cuts, missing strand and rivet, restorations)
