Two fans, Europe, circa 1800 *Hydrangea, circa 1800 Folded fan, the cream silk leaf embroidered with silver sequins depicting a large hydrangea flower, fashionable under the First Empire. Dull reverse. Carved, engraved and silvered bone mount. H.t. 20 cm - H.f. 14.8 cm (stains, cuts, chips, restorations) *Sun, sun, circa 1800 Folded fan, leaf in beige silk and tulle, embroidered with gold sequins including half suns. Imitation brown tortoiseshell horn mount, engraved and gilded with foliage. H.t. 20 cm - H.f. 14.3 cm (Provenance: former collection Henry-René d'Allemagne (1863-1950).
