Folding sunshade inspired by the 19th-century "marquise" parasol, tilting into a screen to become a sunshade. Cover in black silk taffeta, lined with orange and gold lamé. Handle in precious turned wood, in the shape of a "billiard cue". The runner, ribs and needles are gilded with fine gold. Ring at top. Folded 35 cm- unfolded 62 cm Eight ribs. (mint condition) N.B.: this parasol was presented at the "Wonder Lab" exhibition at the Tokyo National Museum in Japan in 2017, and at the National Museum of China in Beijing in 2019.
