Dragonflies, Europe, circa 1900 Umbrella, linen voile cover hand-embroidered with flowers and leaves. Maple wood cane ending in a pommel adorned with a moonstone or opal in a silver-plated brass mounting decorated with dragonflies. Four-leaf clovers down the handle. This model is offered by the Parisian boutique "Henry à la pensée". Placed in the category of "artistic parasol handles", it is called "La libellule". A similar model is offered by F. Ledresseur, an artist who won an award in a cane handle competition, and was illustrated in the "Art et décoration" magazine in January 1902.
