Small buttons, Europe, circa 1850-1855 Charming fancy parasol, the cover in two-tone brown Lyonnaise silk, brocaded with a pattern of small squares, and edged with silk bangs. Folding ivory handle carved to resemble the buttons on a boot. Ivory needles and tip. Eight baleen whalebones, 27 cm Total length 62 cm Weight 165 gr (good condition) All umbrellas and parasols containing ivory, whale baleen or rhinoceros horn are issued with an intra-Community certificate, K permit, allowing them to circulate in Europe. These will be issued to purchasers.
