Umbrella with folding handle, Europe, circa 1770-1780 Very rare, huge men's perfecting umbrella with sand-colored silk cover. Wooden shaft and handle with folding system. Twisted copper forks. Retains its copper ring for hanging and drying. Total length 115 cm - folded handle 88 cm Ten whalebone ribs, 86 cm Weight 987 gr (Wear and tear) All umbrellas and parasols containing ivory, whale baleen or rhinoceros horn benefit from an intra-Community certificate, K permit, allowing them to be circulated in Europe.
