Set of 10 plates and 1 milk jug in hard porcelain with gold - Lot 186
Set of 10 plates and 1 milk jug in hard porcelain with gold edging, decorated by Feuillet, who worked in Paris during the Restoration (son of the Prince de Condé's patissier, one of the best decorators in Paris). The handle and spout of the milk jug are fully gilded, as is the rim. The rim of the plates and each side of the milk jug bear the crowned cypher and polychrome crest of Arsène O'Mahory (1787-1858), who was "one of the most brilliant writers for the royalist press under the Restoration". The condition of the set is good to very good: some wear to the gilding on the fillets, a small chip on the edge of the spout of the milk jug (diam: 23.5 cm for the plates; H: 10.5 cm.., L: 12 cm for the pot)
