Rare white earthenware tripod drainer with blue enamel decor - Lot 120
Rare white earthenware tripod drainer with blue enamel decoration signed by Charles Gallé in Nancy (Émile's father), decorated with the coat of arms, motto, brackets and crown of Count O'Gorman (1825-1900), married in 1857 in Nancy to Marguerite d'Hoffelize (1834-1913). They built Château O'Gorman at Pixérécourt in Meurthe-et-Moselle. On the outside of the drainer, a reminder of the count's crown. A chip and a fel. A remarkable piece, however (diam.: 21.2 cm, H.: 7 cm).
