Valenciennes bobbin border, late 19th century. Semi-continuous thread, cream-colored cotton with its starting and ending threads, rare tulip decoration in grid and canvas, and square twisted stitches on point rarely used to decorate Valenciennes lace motifs. Dim. 4.30 + 0.50 = 4.80 m x 10 cm (mint condition) We enclose a border of the same technique, in ivory-pink cotton, with sprays of roses and daisies, Dim. 2.30 m x 13 cm (washed, re-dyed, minor accidents) and a document in white Chantilly lace with roses in full bloom, fine cream cotton, Dim. 1.65 m x 19 cm (seam).
