Two borders, Buratto and drawn grape threads, Italy, early 17th century. The Buratto border has a weft and warp of indigo linen embroidered with a cream linen thread, religiously symbolized with grapes, vine shoots and vine leaves; each border has a frieze of small motifs. Dim. 1 m x 10.5 cm (good condition, shaded blue tone) The other in linen of fine finesse, in threads drawn with canvas reserve and embroidered with straw-colored silk, decorated with undulating vine shoots loaded with bunches, foliage and small tendrils, between two friezes with small stylized motifs. Low border decorated with a small needlework motif. Dim. 36 cm x 10 cm (good condition)
