Still life with a bouquet of flowers and apples. Oil on canvas, signed lower right in Cyrillic script, circa 1925. Preserved in a modern frame. Good condition. Sight: H.: 63 cm - W.: 80 cm. Frame: H.: 83 cm - W.: 100 cm. Biography: German Vasilyevich. Fedorov (1886-1976) was born in Moscow. From 1902 to 1904, he studied at the S.G. Stroganoff School of Industrial Art, then in the studio-school of I.I. Mashkov. In 1905, he entered the Moscow Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. He was a member of the "Knave of Diamonds" Union (1911-1917), the "World of Art" (1917-1921), the "Association of Revolutionary Artists of Russia" (1924-1928) and the "Union of Moscow Artists" (1928-1932). He took part in several exhibitions organized by these unions. He also taught at the Ateliers Supérieurs d'Arts et Techniques and the Instituts Supérieurs d'Arts et Techniques. Provenance: this work was acquired by the current owner in the mid-1990s from a French auction house.
