Sight: H. 94 cm - W.: 61.5 cm Frame: H.: 138 cm - W.: 105 cm Biography: Mikhail Fyodorovich Larionov was born on June 3, 1881 in Tiraspol, Moldavia. He studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, where he met his future partner and collaborator, Natalia Goncharova. Together, they became pioneers of the Rayonnisme movement. In 1914, they moved to Paris, where they befriended the Parisian and international intelligentsia and began working for the Ballets Russes. After the 1917 revolution in Russia, he went into exile in Western Europe, where he continued to work for the recognition of Russian art. Reference: Russian National Museum "A Time to Gather...".
