CAVALRY SABER. Russia, second half of the 19th century, Nicholas II period. Wooden and gilded bronze eagle-beak handle engraved with the Emperor Nicholas II's cypher, the inscription for bravery and decorated with a cross of the Order of St. Anne, straight steel blade with wide gutter, acid-etched on one side with the Emperor's cypher and dated 1894 on the other side, regulation pattern, black leather-covered wooden scabbard with gilt bronze fittings and attachments, with part of the ribbon in the colors of the Order of St. George. Weathered, as is. Blade: L.: 80.5 cm. With scabbard : L. : 94 cm.
