OLGA ALEXANDROVNA, grande-duchesse de Russie (1882-1960).
Interior of the library in the exile residence of the younger sister of Emperor Nicholas II in Ballerup, Denmark. Watercolor on paper signed lower right by the artist in Latin characters "Olga", preserved under glass in a gilded wood frame. Good condition, wear to frame. Sight: H.: 21 cm - W.: 27.5 cm. Frame: H.: 30 cm - W.: 36.5 cm. History: Grand Duchess Olga and her family lived in Ballerup from 1930 to 1948. She left numerous works of art to the town's museum. And in 1991, on the initiative of Jorgen Bjerregaard, a major exhibition was dedicated to her, in which our watercolor was presented from January 11 to 30, 1991. Provenance: artist's former collection, exhibited at the Ballerup Museum, then sold at Sotheby's, 2005, lot no. 147.
