ÉCOLE RUSSE DE LA FIN DU XIXe SIÈCLE. Emperor Nicholas II and his wife Empress Alexandra Feodorovna. A pair of chromolithographic portraits, preserved under glass in two fine antique stained-wood frames with applied floral motifs, an interlaced monogram and an eagle with outstretched wings, carved in walrus ivory and horn. Made by inmates of the Zerenchoiskaïa prison in the Nerchinskiy penal colony. Minor chips, but overall good condition. Sight: H.: 13 cm - W.: 8.5 cm. Frame: H.: 29 cm - W.: 19.5 cm.
