Large case forming a binder. French work, late 18th/early 19th century. In Boulle marquetry, decorated in the center with the monogram in Gothic letters H. B. under a marquis crown, surrounded by a rich inlaid decoration in brass and pewter forming garlands of flowers and foliage. The upper part opens onto an interior lined with ivory-colored moiré silk taffeta. The side features a gilded brass lock engraved with a stylized foliage motif. The set rests on four flattened silvered metal ball feet. Misses, wear and tear, minor accidents, as is. H. 7.5 cm - L. 48 cm - W. 32 cm
