Mother-of-pearl marquetry panel on a black marble background decorated with branching birds, flying insects and a frog. Pays bas late 17th century, trace of signature. Height 26.7 cm - Width: 33.2 cm Dirck Van Rijswijck (1596-1679) was the master of this technique of inlaying mother-of-pearl on a black marble background, which was mainly executed by workshops in Amsterdam in the late 17th century.
