A flat desk in Boulle marquetry of engraved brass on a red tortoiseshell background, standing on four curved legs with foliage scrolls, espagnolette figures and flower falls. It opens to three drawers framed by bronze acanthus leaf friezes, the central drawer's keyhole adorned with a Daphne mask, the other drawers' keyholes with knight's helmets, and the sides adorned with bearded male masks. The top is inlaid with scenes of musicians framed by lambrequins and Berin-style figures. Stamped by Levasseur Louis XV period Height. : 78 cm - Width : 131.5 cm - Depth : 64 cm (Damage and missing parts, old restorations) Etienne Levasseur apprenticed in the Boulle family workshop.
