Clock with sphynges in chased and gilded bronze, porcelain of Paris, enamels and griotte marble, the dial with dates signed Brasseur in Paris carried by two sphynges with vases crowned with topiaries, topped with garlands of flowers and roosters and a turlupet. The base is decorated with Venus and love in an enamelled relief frame with golden scrolls on a blue background, the sides with a flower sowing, the base with stylized foliage. H. 49.5cm ; L. 24.5cm. Small accidents and missing enamels, wear, missing a small bronze element on a vase and the rear bezel. Provenance: -Former collection of the Princes of Radziwill at Château d'Ermenonville, sale on March 8, 1933, Maitre Maurice Ader, Hotel Drouot, lot n°31. -Bought in this sale for the Count Moïse de Camondo, according to the family tradition. -Offered by the latter to Edgar Humann (1888 - 1947), comrade in arms of Nissim de Camondo in the air force. -By descent.
