Plate in Sèvres porcelain of the 18th century Mark... - Lot 38 - Coutau-Bégarie
Plate in Sèvres porcelain of the 18th century Mark in blue with two interlaced L, date letter L for 1764, decorator mark for Micaud, father With polychrome and gold decoration, in the center of a bouquet of flowers, the wing of bouquets of flowers in three gold reserves with palms, standing out on a green background and linked together by garlands of flowers, restored, small chip restored on the edge, wear D. 24.5 cm. Provenance: perhaps from the service "green background groups of flowers", delivered on May 14, 1765 to Mr. Claude Bonnet, agent of the Court of Parma, for the Duke of Parma, widower of Louise-Elizabeth, eldest daughter of King Louis XV. Notes : Most of this service is now preserved in the Quirinal Palace in Rome; the original delivery included 148 plates. A plate bearing the date M for 1765, which could also be related to this delivery, is in the collections of the British Museum in London (Inv. 1899, 1006.9). For a full commentary on this delivery, see by David Peters, Sèvres plates and services of the 18th century, Little Berkhamsted, 2015, pp.369-371.
