Bust of King Louis XVI of France (1754-1793). Sculpted in white marble, resting on a square base, representing the sovereign in a slightly three-quarter front view, draped in a cape edged with ermine and wearing the large ribbon of the Order of the Holy Spirit, held on the left shoulder by a diamond clasp, and on the right side the plaque of the Holy Spirit. Esprit, based on a model made circa 1790. Weathered, as is. H. 68 cm - W. 45 cm - D. 28 cm.
