General on horseback accompanied by hussars against a background of a battle scene. Drawing in brown ink on paper and black ink in the background, presented on a passe-partout marked: "1758 C. Vernet 1836", preserved in an antique gilded wood frame. Some foxing, small stains, but overall good condition. Sight: H.: 39 cm - W.: 56 cm. Frame: H.: 61 cm - W.: 78 cm. Provenance: Ader sale, Paris, Drouot, December 6, 1957, lot 155 under the title "Après la bataille par Carle Vernet".
