BÉBÉ JUMEAU - CIRCA 1870. Beveled polychrome bisque head T.9, signed on the reverse with a red stamp "Déposé Tête Jumeau - Ste SGDG - N°9", fixed blue glass eyes, Carrier-Belleuse eyebrows, closed mouth, pierced ears, blond hair. Jumeau body with wooden balls, bearing a period label marked: "Au Paradis des enfants - Paris - 156 rue de Rivoli". Floral straw hat to match her blue dress. Fishnet socks. Jumeau black leather shoes stamped with a bee. Her clothes, socks, hat and shoes are original. She is lying in a Louis-Philippe-style wooden bed, with its off-white quilted quilt. Timeworn, but good overall condition, as is. H. 51 cm.
