238. Day dress, circa 1850-1860, black taffeta edged with red and cream polka dots and stripes, stapled bodice embellished with tabs of the same fabric outlined with red bias and black braid. Skirt on crinoline with matching belt trimmed with four buttons and side loops for rolling up (a few minor accidents, buttons missing).
