237. Day dress, circa 1850-1860, black and purple striped taffeta; crew-neck bodice stapled in front, long sleeves with musketeer cuffs embellished with a croquet and a black lace flounce. Attached skirt on crinoline bordered by a gathered flounce, (a few small stains under the arms and on the forearm and a small snag).
