Second Empire period half-tail piano case decorated with appliqué embroidery from the early 18th century, fir-green woollen cloth applied with cross-stitch tapestry strips and silk appliqué embroidery set with a cordonnet. Decorated with a floral cartouche featuring two elegant ladies in court dress, deer, butterflies and exotic birds. Molded fringe all around, (some wear and restoration), D: 180 x 150 cm.
