Two pairs of sconces with two arms of lights, rich rocaille decoration after a model attributed to Fransesco Ladatte H. 61 cm, L. : 33 cm Middle of the 18th century (restorations) The Piedmontese sculptor Francesco Ladatte spent twenty years in Paris where he was accepted at the Academy before returning to his native Turin in 1774. Appointed bronze sculptor to the Duke of Savoy, he became one of the principal artists in the service of Charles-Emmanuel III (1701-1772), who succeeded his father, Victor-Amédée II, in 1730.
