Small celadon jade jug of quadrangular shape, presenting on two sides a decoration in light relief of two Immortals, one accompanied by a deer and the other by a crane, in cartouches, the other two sides decorated with facing kui dragons. The spout and handle are decorated with scrolls, the neck decorated with a frieze of Greek, the lid decorated with scrolls of lotus flowers. The stone with brown inclusions. 9 x 14.3 x 8 cm The lid's grip is missing. Provenance: -Former collection of Vice Admiral Edgar Eugene Humann (1838-1914), chief of staff of the Navy who served in the China Seas. -By descent.
