Travel kit in rosewood and engraved brass decorated with the arms of the alliance La Trémoille and Walsh de Serrant, with a removable mirror on the reverse side and revealing five bottles and six crystal and vermeil boxes with the number M. Napoleon III period, signed Aucoc aîné rue de la Paix 4 bis, Paris, hallmarks of Jules Coquelin, Paris (1830-1838) H. Louis Aucoc, known as the Elder, was at the head of the family business from 1850 until the middle of the 1870's, period during which the factory, located at 4 and 6 rue de la Paix, developed while diversifying and became one of the official suppliers of the imperial court This set was most probably made for Valentine Walsh de Serrant (1810-1887), third wife of Duke Charles de La Trémoille, Prince of Taranto and Count of Laval (1764-1839).
