H. 19,4 cm - L. 13,6 cm (at sight) This series of views of the most beautiful public and private buildings of the city of Paris published in Paris around 1787, is probably one of the most beautiful of this type engraved during the 18th century, is composed of 88 views of Paris reproduced according to a color engraving process invented by Janinet. The process was inspired by the aquatint engraving invented by Jean-Baptiste Leprince. As with aquatint, the colors were printed in a regular way which gave the impression of watercolor.
