Pair of gilded wood sconces, the central shaft in the form of a pilaster is flanked by two fluted columns from which two arms inserted in a very large acanthus leaf from which two clusters of berries emerge. The whole is surmounted by a capital with triglyphs on which rests a vase decorated in its center with a caduceus surrounded by flowers and fruits. The lower part is carved with a ribbon wrapped around the stems of flowers, fruits and foliage. Louis XVI period H. : 0,66 m - L. : 0,28 m - Dep. 0,15 m (Small accidents and missing parts) This pair of sconces was inspired by the drawings of Jean Charles Delafosse (1734-1789) and Robert de Lalonde (1735-1808).
