LARGE TRAVEL BOX OF PRINCE CHARLES OF SWEDEN CONTAINING HIS DECORATIONS AND AWARDS. Rectangular shape, natural wood, with removable handles on the sides and reinforced metal corners. The hinged lid is decorated in the center with a metal plate engraved with his monogram C (Charles) under a crown and opens on five trays. Four of the trays have five slots identified by a label corresponding to the order that should be in them, the fifth tray is in the shape of the large collar of the order of Seraphim. The labels indicate in Swedish the distinctions by country, the colors of the ribbons and the location to wear them: Romania, Austria, Prussia, Nassau, Belgium, Baden, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Russia, Bulgaria, Finland, France, Portugal, Turkey, Saxe-Weimar, Monaco. Enclosed is an envelope containing labels and bearing the handwritten inscription in Swedish in the hand of the prince: Les ordres que je n'ai pas encore. And a visiting card in the name of the prince. Wear of time. Swedish work of the House of F. Beck & Son, Stockholm, early 20th century. H. 31 cm - W. 68 cm - D. 34 cm. Provenance : former collection of Prince Charles of Sweden (1861-1951), then by succession in the descent of his daughter Princess Margareth (1899- 1977), who married on May 22, 1919 Prince Axel of Denmark (1888-1964).
