* RUYI SCEPTER. China, Qing dynasty. In gilt metal with large inlay of red and green colored glass imitating precious stones, dotted with floral motifs. The reverse side richly engraved with Buddhist emblems, Chinese characters as well as bats and fish. The end presents a circular plate in carved nephrite which probably originally contained a watch. Small accidents and missing parts. L. : 46 cm. Provenance : private collection from the south of France.
