TABLE SERVICE OF THE GRAND DUKE PAUL PETROVITCH OFFERED BY KING FREDERIC II OF PRUSSIA. Imperial Manufactory of Saint Petersburg, 1855-1881. Hard porcelain dinner plate with scalloped edge decorated with a large openwork frieze and enhanced with a gold fillet, with central decoration of a black double-headed eagle surmounted by a gold imperial crown holding in its claws two polychrome coats of arms of the Imperial House of Romanoff and of the Ducal House of Holstein-Gottorp. Slight wear of the time to the gilding, but good condition. Green marks on the reverse: A II under imperial crown. Diameter: 25,5 cm.
