TABLE SERVICE OF THE GRAND DUKE PAUL PETROVITCH OFFERED BY KING FREDERIC II OF PRUSSIA. Royal Manufacture of Berlin, 1775-1778. Hard porcelain dinner plate with a scalloped edge decorated with a large openwork frieze and enhanced with a gold fillet, with a central decoration of a black double-headed eagle surmounted by a gold imperial crown holding in its claws two polychrome coats of arms of the Imperial House of Romanoff and of the Ducal House of Holstein-Gottorp. Slight wear of the time to the gilding, but good condition. Blue marks on the reverse: scepter. Diameter: 25 cm.
