One-pointed shawl in Chantilly from Gramont, Belgium, 2nd half of the 19th century. Triangular shape in Chantilly lace finely made with spindles in grenadine silk with a decoration of flowers in the natural, beautiful example of production of Belgian Chantilly from the Gramont region. Decorated with a large bouquet of blooming roses, hydrangeas, anemones, hibiscus, fuchsia, foxglove and foliage in the center, the sides of the triangle with multiple sprays of anemones and flowers, the border festooned with cartouches and blooming flowers. Dim. 2,95 m x 1,47 m (very good condition) Provenance : Back of a house of an Antwerp family.
