Rare tie or flap with the figure of Charles X, Alençon, needlework, circa 1824-1830. In Alençon lace very finely made with the needle, the two sides taking back by four times the figure of Charles X, double intertwined C topped by a crown closed with the fleur de Lys the symbol of French royalty, well underlined by a plume of soft palms and flowers, with a fleur de Lys in the center of each of the sides. Delicate garland of leaves and small berries adorned with festoons festooning the borders, sowing of fleur-de-lis connected by the simple network of Alençon. Linen color white - white cream. Dim. 52 x 36 cm at the widest. (good condition) This flap is to be compared with the one deposited in the Royal Museums of Arts and History of Brussels, Inv.D.3083. Cf.
