[ANISSON] Medals on the main events of the reign of Louis the Great, with historical explanations Paris, Imprimerie Royale, 1702. In-4, full calf, spine ribbed and decorated. Scratches and damaged headbands. 286 ff., 6 pp. of table. Each leaf has a full-size illustrated medal. First edition in-4 with large margins which follows the folio edition, published the same year. 286 plates of medals engraved by Mauger. Perfectly fresh paper. It was Anisson himself, as the king's printer, who supervised this edition. Special typefaces were cast which were used here for the first time. It is the new typeface le Romain du Roi or Grandjean.
