Pair of gilt bronze girandoles with four lights, cut crystal plates. H. : 86 cm Louis XV style, circa 1900. Missing two daggers. Provenance : Grand Escalier du Palais Rose de l'avenue Foch. The Palais Rose was a private mansion located at 50 Avenue Foch in Paris, built from 1896 to 1902 by the architect Ernest Sanson for Count Boniface de Castellane and his wife Anna Gould. Inspired by the Grand Trianon, the centerpiece of the palace was an adaptation of the famous staircase known as the Ambassadors' Staircase at the Palace of Versailles. It was demolished in 1969. After her divorce with Boni de Castellane, she married Hélie de Talleyrand-Périgord. Then by descent.
