Two angels A pair of finely chiseled and gilded bronze applique elements, they are represented with their wings spread and their bodies wrapped in draped tunics. H. : 19 cm. Rome 18th century. We find a pair of almost identical angels in a preparatory drawing (fig 1). Another pair made of gilded silver appears on the base of the group of ROME ASSISE by Luigi Valadier, Giancinto Frey and Guiseppe Valadier preserved in the Louvre Museum (MR399; MR393
