Portrait of a woman in bacchante. Rare round miniature, unsigned, depicting a young woman in bacchante half-body, partly stripped wearing a cloak in panther skin, harvesting grapes, vine leaves in her hair. A crack. Preserved in a round gilt bronze frame bordered by a blue enamelled net with a collection label. Around 1785. D. 7,4 cm (seen) - Frame : D. 10,5 cm. Related work Jean-Baptiste Jacques Augustin and probably his older brother Augustin Dubourg, Portrait of a Woman as Diana, c. 1785, The Tansey Miniatures Foundation (inv. 10216).
