BOTREL, Théodore (1868-1925),
Breton chansonnier. Set of 6 documents: 3 autograph letters signed and 3 autograph cards signed. S.l., 1905, 1906, 1916 and s.d. 9 pp. in-8 and in-12 square or oblong. Botrel sends La Nuit rouge (Noël des chouans) in 4 acts and La Mort aux Races, an anti-alcoholic play in 1 act. "Couldn't you analyze them in the next N° of the Union? [...]." He says that he will go on tour at the beginning of spring, in Holland, evokes his Chants de bivouac, his Chansons de route and his texts printed before the beginning of the war: because of the high cost of paper, the Chants de guerre were "published in placards". Botrel recommends learning his Kaiseriole, rather than the Carmagnole, plans concerts, sometimes several a day, mentions his pianist (M. Colomb), etc. Beautiful signatures.
