CUP AND ITS SAUCER IN PORCELAIN MANUFACTURE DARTE, PARIS, 1830. Decorated with a brown cameo portrait representing a profile of Queen Desideria of Sweden, born Desire Clary (1777-1860), after a drawing by Paolo-Ferdinando Quaglia (1780-1853), in 1822, see the engraving published at the time of his coronation in 1829, surrounded by a garland of laurel leaves in dull gold, on the back appear two blue cartridges decorated with royal crown and swan retaining garlands of leaves and palmettes gold. Cup of form known as "Jasmine", with flared and curved collar, handle raised in crook, resting on three legs of lion, inside with gold bottom. The saucer is slightly flared and rests on a heel, is decorated with a frieze of birds remaining stylized garlands alternating with royal crowns and lyres gold on a blue background and bordered by a wide gold net. Mark on the back of the saucer in red letters "Darte Frères à Paris", circa 1830. Very good general condition, wear of time to the saucer. H. : 11 cm - Diam. : 8,5 cm and 14 cm.
