CLOCK WITH RINGING Model called "au puits", in white marble imitating stone, finely decorated with gilt bronze, movement held by three eagles' heads, surmounted by a pine cone, white enamelled dial noted "Musy père et fils, horloger de S.A.R. in Turin", hours in Roman numerals, Breguet hands in blued steel, movement known as "de Paris", striking of the hours and half-hours on a gong at the back, anchor escapement, suspension of the balance with silk thread, two winding squares by key on the front on the right for the movement and on the left for the striking, power reserve of 8 days, advance and delay adjustments on the back plate by knob. The set rests on a rectangular base with rounded corners in white marble, framed by four grey marble pillars held by a falling chain. The pendulum is decorated with an angel. Small accidents, but good condition. Italian work of the House of Musy, Louis XVI period. H. : 44 cm - W. : 23 cm - D. : 17,5 cm. Provenance : former collection of King Humberto II of Italy (1904-1983), then kept by direct descent.
