Interesting set of 5 documents and correspondence addressed to Mr. René Langlois, dating from 1842 to 1843, some of which are on the letterheads of the Ministry of Public Works and the Ministry of the Interior, relating to the renovation of Napoleon's tomb and the erection of a monument to the Emperor in the Hôtel Royal des Invalides. Various formats. Time wear, but good general condition. History: René Langlois is a marble craftsman who participated in the works of Napoleon's tomb. He was particularly noted for his work for the Palace of Versailles and Trianon, the Royal Church of Saint-Denis and the City Hall of the 8th arrondissement of Paris.
