PLATE IN VERMEIL, FROM THE TABLE SERVICE OF THE DUKE OF ORLEANS. JULIEN, PARIS, 1798-1809. Engraved on the top of the border with the arms of the House of Orleans under a crown of prince of the blood and applied on a background of flags, bordered by a frieze of finely chiseled palmettes. Wear of the time, but good general condition. Title mark : 1er coq, Paris, 1798-1809. Goldsmith's mark : G J clé (probably Guillaume Julien). Diameter : 23 cm. Weight : 421 g. History: this coat of arms is that of Louis-Philippe, future king of the French, then duke of Orleans (1773-1850).
